Washington, Jun 29 - Labor Department Secretary Hilda Solis tells “undocumented workers,” in recent ads in Spanish and
English, that her Department is dedicating a toll-free number and 250
employees to helping ensure that those who are here working illegally are paid
“fairly.”  (Please also see the Fox
News story on the ads.)  Our nation faces double-digit unemployment in many
areas, with one in six workers (17%) under- or unemployed.  Now is not the time
for the Administration to focus on ensuring that an estimated 8 million illegal
immigrants, working in violation of federal laws, are being fairly paid.  No one
should be exploited.  But this Administration is misprioritizing by putting the
needs of American citizens and other legal workers behind the needs of those who
are working illegally, while refusing to meaningfully enforce much of U.S.
immigration law.
